Gidget’s story begins in New York City….

Soon after I got Gidget, I found out she came from one of those horrible puppy mills.  I am happy to know that she is most likely a mixed breed…that’s why I call her a “New Yorkie” but it was devastating to know that I had inadvertantly supported a horrific business.

  2. great website. I enjoyed reading about Gidget’s adventures. I have a Yorkie mix, Paddington, and I also inadvertently got her from what I believe to be a puppy mill. Not cool. To make up for it I started a local dog blog where I live (Ottawa) to educate people about shelters and reputable breeders in the area.

Because Paddington came from a puppy mill, she has luxating patellas (bad knees) in both of her back legs and has already had to have one leg operated on. Fingers crossed we don’t have to do the other leg!

I wouldn’t trade Paddy in for the world but I have taken steps to be sure that our second dog, Corduroy, did NOT come from a puppy mill.

have a great day! pets to Gidget!

  3. So, last night in Quito, Ecuador, after a business meeting, I decided to go see Sex and the City. Honestly, without knowing a thing in advance, I knew this was Gidget…remember her unique trick. Also remember how she dominated Mocus and Snuffy. So I stuck around for the credits and sure ’nuff, it was Gidget. How cool is this?

Very sorry to hear about Snuffy…Snuffleupagus. I now have a Black Malinois Belgian Shephered I moved her to Ecuador with me. Crazy smart and my life revolves around her. I don’t think I ever ‘got’ it back in the day, but now I sure do. Her name is Page…Jimmie Page. Black Dog.

    You take care and enjoy.
