So the Sex and the City 2 script calls for a white top hat for Gidget.  Given that our pup lives 2 hours north of the shooting location, fittings have to take place via FedEx.  One day, a slew of paper hats arrive and Gidget has to pose and be photographed with each one so wardrobe can decide which proportion is the best.  Then the same company that makes Jim Henson’s muppets will make a custom snow white silk top hat for Gidget to wear in a scene with Kim Cattrall (and thats all we’re revealing!)

Gidget discovers Doggyspace.com!

What a lot of fun (and friends!) we found on Doggyspace.com!  We read about the new MySpace for canines on the AP Wire yesterday and rushed over to see what the buzz was about…well, its a great site! So many darling dogs are on line and so many touching stories of how dogs met their humans, what these puppies love to do best, favorite foods and toys…its really very sweet to have a space to share about our love for our companions.  Call me a sap but I can’t help tearing up reading some of these stories- some dogs have been rescued from sad conditions, some dogs are battling cancer but they are all brave (and so are their humans!).  So, if you love a dog, go to www.doggyspace.com and be Gidget’s friend! Only in LA, folks, only in LA….AS you may know, Mary takes Gidget everywhere and that includes last week’s business trip to  LA for music industry stuff with Reni Lane (you’ll hear more about her later- and not just here on Gidget’s blog!)  So there is Mary killing time at a coffee shop before her delayed flight back to NYC and they don’t let dogs into the coffee shop but a kind waitress offers to watch Gidge while Mary caffeines up.  Through some small talk, it comes out that Gidget was in the “Sex and the City” movie and before you know it, a fellow customer is on the ground, photographing Gidget.  Mary thought no more of it until she returned and found this entry on a blog called “Slackonomics” which read:Is this Gidget the Humping Dog?Well, yes Lisa- it is! And we are thrilled that Gidget is “dogged” by attention whereever she goes!
